C Checkpoint Expansion Project Complete

Over the past 19 months, travelers who have passed through the C Checkpoint in Terminal 4 may have noticed some construction taking place at the security lanes. PHX Sky Harbor is pleased to announce that the C Checkpoint Expansion Project is complete.

This project has enhanced the customer travel experience by providing space for up to eight security lanes. Previously, the checkpoint consisted of four lanes. Today, there are six fully equipped lanes at the C Checkpoint serving primarily those passengers flying Southwest Airlines. And, as need future need facilitates it, there are two additional lanes that can be utilized.

This project was part of an overall larger project to increase efficiency at the security checkpoints. In fact, additional checkpoint lanes have been added throughout the Airport in each terminal which allow travelers more options while going through security. Just another way that PHX Sky Harbor strives to be America’s Friendliest Airport®.
